India Ivory Company did not make the sets themselves. Rather the one example I have found looks like a Baby Grand crystal set made by the Beaver Machine & Tool Co from New Jersey in a faux ivory case.

Their core businees was Celluloid Buttons and Novelty manufacturing. Incorporated in 1920 with a $25,000 capital, their President and Secretary was Joseph Zitowitz with Morris Hollander Vice President and Isadore P Greengus Treasurer.

In 1921 India Ivory Company is listed as being one of the unsecured creditors of the Bartlett Manufacturing Company, dealers in clocks, owing them $1,770 of $2,366.61 which partially caused them to go into bankruptcy.

In 1922 The company must have come out of bankruptcy as they increased their facilities at 163 Thurber Ave and nearly doubled the numberof girls it employed.

A 1922 report to the General Assembly of Rhode Island lists India Ivory as employing 4 men and 7 women with good sanitary conditions.

It seems like the end of the line for the company came in June of 1925 when the were appointed a receiver by the Rhode Island Superior Court.

In October of 1926 the company is sued by Isadore Greengus

Then on November 11th, 1926 India is sued by Nixon Nitration Works.

On October 29th, 1927 charges of "Attempt to Defraud" against India Ivory were dismissed.
