Thanks for your support of Rhode Island Radio Website!
Omer Eugene Cote was an Engineer and Architect. He was born June 22nd, in Worchester, MA 1897. On his WW1 draft card in 1918 his employer is listed as Coto-Coil7. The 1923 Journal of the A.I.E.E. (American Institute of Electrical Engineers) lists Mr Cote as the Chief Engineer of the Electrical Products Manufacturing Company. 1
Cote took Architect courses at the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI, nights from 1914 to 1916 and mechanical design from 1916 to 1917. 62
He was also a amateur radio operator (Call 1UB 3) whom I assume built much of his own equipment judging from the many contests he won in Wirless Age between 1914-1917. He live at 184 Harrison St in Pawtucket. 4
Interestingly, I found a listing for amateur radio call sign 1OU at the same address of 184 Harrison St in Pawtucket under the name Armand E Cote 5
